This position is for a Vice President to join the Americas Fixed Income NFRM team in NY, with specific responsibilities for the US Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) Financing Business, Sales, and Trading. The role is accountable for execution of second line NFRM activities in close coordination with Regional hubs
- New York, London, and Singapore. The professional must have a deep understanding of cash, derivatives, lending & securitisation products, and the associated operational risks. Professionals are required to have a deep understanding of a broad range of operational risk types and operational frameworks, as well as strong stakeholder management and organisational skillset to navigate a complex business environment.
Primary responsibility will be for Deutsche Bank’s FIC Financing business, strong background required in Asset Backed Securities (ABS), CMBS, and lending businesses.

Your Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the team, provide independent oversight of the implementation and embedding of the Group’s NFRM Framework within the FIC Business, and execution of assigned NFR responsibilities as the NFRM Coverage Officer for the assigned business units
Quickly become an expert in all aspects of the FIC complex in order to provide a deep understanding of its operational risks. Independently assess material risks and/or key controls, providing challenge, approval, or veto as appropriate for assigned product-based assessment units
Monitor risk appetite through analysis of NFR contextual data and continuous monitoring approaches as well as coordinating updating of Risk Appetite statement documents. Perform role of reviewer on New Product Approvals (NPAs) for NFRM
Represent FIC NFRM at Risk Fora to actively engage in risk governance and prepare quality materials. Facilitate and coordinate with 1 Line of Defense (LOD) partners as well as Risk and Control Assessment process and other deliverables
Facilitate or undertake the event and issue management processes including Lessons Learned Reviews, Read-Across Reviews, and self-identified issues/remediation. Develop NFR scenarios for scenario workshops and drive completion of workshops with the 1LOD. Provide SME input into risk-based decisions and discussions across a wide range of NFR risk types
Work as part of the regional and global NFRM Coverage Team and interface with Risk Type Controllers within and external to NFRM. Undertake reporting and analysis of NFRM data
Your Skills And Experience
Moderate relevant experience in a similar role within global financial services; ideally in an Investment Bank and/or Broker Dealer. Strong Fixed Income business and product knowledge as well as a relevant regulation
Experience in multiple NFR risk types to holistically understand NFR risk profiles across FIC focusing on Market Conduct, AFC, Transaction Processing, and other risk types. Robust understanding of NFR from experience gained in an NFR role or from a Business COO, Risk Management, Compliance, Product Control, or Middle Office background
Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 lines of defence model. Worked with senior stakeholders within a high-pressure dynamic environment
Experience in managing in-depth reviews across complex businesses and front to back organisations
Professional finance qualification such as CFA/CPA/FRM desirable

Should be able to distil topics into understandable summaries with clear conclusions and explanations of rationale. Including report writing. Be able to draft high quality reports
