Compliance and Independence Officer – PwC, Brussels

Looking for a career where you’ll have a tangible impact on the smooth running of a global organisation? Internal Firm Services (IFS) is the beating heart of everything we do at PwC. We’re made up of teams like Marketing, Communications, HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Facilities, Project Management and more, and together we form the support network of the entire firm. As part of IFS, we’ll guide you to becoming a vital contributor in providing our colleagues and clients the best possible experience at PwC.

PwC is required to maintain Independence from our audit clients. This is more than ever business critical for PwC as our firm is evolving through the development of new innovative ways to serve clients, through the ongoing climate of regulatory change, and the increased focus on globalisation. • You are not afraid to read for yourself and master both law and complex guidance
  • You are able to clearly articulate why something is allowed or is not – you are able to succinctly define issues and find practical ways to resolve them
  • You do not cut corners – you understand that in compliance we have to respond fast under commercial pressure, but what we say has to be right
  • You are able to facilitate authorisation processes, but you are also able to say no, when necessary
  • You are able to step back, see the bigger picture and ask yourself, “is this wise?”
  • You are able to integrate quickly into a new and changing environment
