NEWS: INTERPOL drug trafficking operation sees seizure of $717M worth of drugs & 1,333 arrests

International police organisation, INTERPOL has arrested 1,333 suspects and seized chemicals and drugs worth $717M (€782M) as part of a major investigation into wide scale drugs trafficking.

Operation ‘Lionfish V’ took place between 23rd June – 31st July, and targeted illicit drug trafficking via air, land and maritime routes in 22 countries worldwide, seizing more than 291 tonnes of precursor chemicals and 35.5% of narcotics.
