888 UK Limited handed £9.4M (€11.3M) fine for AML shortcomings; Gambling Commission CEO says case involves ‘failing’ consumers

The UK Gambling Commission has fined 888 UK Limited a total of £9.4M (€11.3M) over social responsibility and money laundering violations, including setting the deposit threshold for financial checks at £40k (€48K).

The company which operates 78 websites, received an official warning and will undergo a comprehensive audit.
