Transparency International report shows 131 countries have made ‘no significant progress’ against corruption over the last decade

Global anti-corruption organisation, Transparency International, has said human rights and democracy across the world is “under assault”, after it found 131 counties have made “no significant progress against corruption” over the last decade. 

In its annual Corruption Perceptions Index released yesterday, Transparency International has revealed that 27 countries are at a “historic low”, and called for an “urgent need” to “accelerate the fight against corruption” across the world.
