WINNER: AML Intelligence’s Women in FinCrime summits scoop ‘Event of the Year’ accolade at 2021 Raw Compliance Awards in Singapore

The AML Intelligence’s Women in FinCrime Summits today scooped the prestigious ‘Event of the Year’ award at the 2021 Raw Compliance Awards in Singapore.

The Raw Compliance Awards celebrate and recognise people and organisations that have made a difference and impact in the FinCrime and Compliance space.

AML Intelligence’s #WomeninFinCrime conferences brought together thousands of women leaders in the Compliance and Anti-Financial space.

The inaugural summit took place in March 2021, in celebration of International Women’s Day, and saw more than 1000 women tune in from across the globe. The event was officially opened by Ireland’s Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD.

The second Women In FinCrime conference, held in November 2021, included speakers such as Carolin Gardner, Acting Head of Unit (AML/CFT) at the European Banking Authority, Carolina Garcés Monterrubio, Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Santander Group and Frances Fitzgerald MEP and Vice-President of the EPP Group.

Publisher of AML Intelligence, Stephen Rae said: “I am delighted that the initiative has been recognised by RAW Compliance – and I am thrilled for the team at AML Intelligence who conceived and executed the idea.

“The results can be seen in the thousands of registered delegates – right across the timezones – who attend ‘Women in FinCrime’ Summits. We look forward to building out the brand and #WomenInFinCrime leadership initiatives in 2022,” he added.

“I’d like to thank all of our magnificent speakers and our super moderators, Elizabeth Hearst, Andrea Gilligan, Jackie King and Lorraine Higgins for making the summits such a success. I’d also to pay tribute to AML Intelligence co.founder and MD James Treacy for all his enormous work on the project,” he said.

Since its inception in June 2020, AML Intelligence has grown dramatically to be the Anti-Financial Crime and Compliance go-to site, providing breaking news, insight and analysis to thousands of readers worldwide, including a dedicated 15,500-strong following on Linkedin.

In the opinion of the judges the #WomeninFinCrime summits AML “brought together women leaders in the Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime space to share ideas, network and provide leadership as well as mentorship to the tens of thousands of women worldwide working in the sector.”

The next #WomeninFinCrime summit takes place on March 3, 2022. See you there!
