‘PATHETIC’: Britain ‘losing its reputation as a trusted jurisdiction’ MP claims in damning review of country’s AML defences

A former British government minister has blasted his country’s “pathetic” response to international financial crime, saying it is “harming more than our reputation.”

Andrew Mitchell MP made the comments in a damning Financial Times opinion piece Tuesday, suggesting that the UK’s reputation as a trusted financial centre was slipping away because of bad oversight.
