LATVIA: Privatbank handed six-figure fine following probe that exposed ‘inappropriate risk management culture’

A six-figure fine has been handed down to a Latvian credit institution for violating AML/CFT laws.

AS Privatbank will fork over €768,653 in penalties. The order comes from the national regulator – the Financial and Capital Market Commission.
