$1.3 Million in crypto seized following raids on Ukrainian ransomware operators in Europol investigation

Police officials in Ukraine have arrested two “prolific ransomware operators” known for their “extortionate ransom demands”, in a joint operation between French and Ukrainian police, as well as agents from the FBI, Europol and Interpol. 

Over $1.3 Million (€1.12 Million) in cryptocurrencies were seized, as well as $375,000 (€325,000) in cash, and luxury vehicles worth €217,000. Authorities have arrested two individuals, and conducted seven property searches as part of the investigation.
