NEWS UPDATE: New EU AML rules to close ‘loopholes’ in existing crypto regulation – Deputy Director General

The Deputy Chief of the European Commission’s Financial body has said the EU will aim to close existing “loopholes” in crypto regulation.

Speaking today at the AMLi Boardroom Series event, Alexandra Jour-Schroeder stressed that although crypto held great “potential”, the Commission aims to mitigate the associated risks of money laundering and virtual assets, in its newly published AML Action Plan.
